Quotes, quotes,
quotes! You can find them everywhere, whether it’s in a book, a movie or a
song. There are quotes about everything, such as, best friend quotes,
humour quotes, art quotes, inspirational quotes and many more! People use quotes
to describe how they feel or to put it as a caption under their picture. Some
even write quotes to express themselves. I, personally, like quotes because
they have so much meaning in them and can be interpreted in so many different
ways!
I’m going to share with you guys some of my favourite
quotes and some quotes that have inspired me!
- “Just remember who you are... The world will try to change you into someone else. Don't let them. That's the best advice anyone can give you.” ― Cinda Williams Chima, The Warrior Heir 1
- “You don’t forget the face of the person who was your last hope.” ― Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games 2
This can also
apply to many of us! When the person you look up to the most (whether it’s a
family member, a friend or a celebrity) is gone, your life changes. There is no
one to tell your secrets to, no one to help you through a hard time and no one
to make you smile when you’re down. That’s when we have to become more independent
and take everything that we've learned from that person and use it to help us
continue our journey in life.

- I always save the bests for last! This quote is my favourite one out of them all! It's 100% true and it describes us all. We all make bad choices sometimes, but it doesn't make us bad people. It's just that we all use our dark side every once in a while. We have the ability to choose between being good and bad and the one we choose shows who we truly are, that's what's most important!
To sum up, I love quotes! They can be your motto, something that you live by or just a sentence that you like. I have showed you guys a few of my favourite quotes. If any of you have some quotes that you would like to share, comment below!
This blog truly describes my way of life! I love quotes and I go by them everyday. To be honest, they have helped me through some hard times in my life. I think the main reason why people make quotes is so that the readers can always re-read them a million times to have a sense of reality check and reassurance when there is no one to turn to. Some of the best quotes come from the most inspiring leaders in the world. My most favorite quote is: "Play like you're in 1st, but train like you're in 2nd!". It drives me to do better in every aspect of my life. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jillian! I agree with you that it can give us a sense of reassurance! Whenever my friends are feeling sad, I usually send them this quote from The Lion King: "Hakuna Matata, it means no worries!" It reassures them that things will get better and nothing is worth worrying about. Also, "Play like you're in 1st, but train like you're in 2nd!" is an excellent quote, I should use it more often!
DeleteFantastic quotes and a very interesting take on them.
ReplyDeleteI love both the Hunger Games series and the Harry Potter series, and those quotes are quite powerful.
What can you tell me about the text your first quote comes from?
My first quote comes from a book called The Warrior Heir. It’s about a sixteen year old boy named Jack who lives in the small Ohio town of Trinity. He has a medicine that he has to take daily and one day he skips his medicine. He starts to notice that he’s become stronger. He then learns that he is part of an underground society of magical people; he is Weirlind. In this society, there are two houses, the house of the Red rose and White rose. They are fighting over power and they determine it by playing a game. Each house gives a warrior to fight to the death. The winning house rules the Weir; the society in which wizards, warriors, sorcerers...etc live. At a time where both houses desperately need players, Jack discovers that he’s part of the last warriors.
DeleteI love this post Fatima. I agree that many people live their lives by certain quotes. Why do you think that is? I find it fascinating. Because we can all think of these creative play on words in our own minds, yet there is something about hearing it from other people that makes it more inspiring. Personally one of my absolute favorite quotes is: "I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday.".
ReplyDeleteThank you Lauren! I think that people live by certain quotes because it inspires them to try harder and do better. It may help them in everyday situations or when they are going through a hard time. It`s true, it does sound more inspiring from other people, maybe because they say it with a passion. I love your favourite quote, it`s very encouraging!
DeleteThis post is honestly so applicable to my life. I love quotes. Whether I'm trying to prove a point, or express what I'm feeling or even find inspiration a quote always seems to be the answer. Some people just have a way with words, and when I can't find the way to express something, oftentimes someone else can. One of my favourite quotes is "Be the change you want to see in the world" said by Ghandi. It, along with so many other quotes has a way of inspiring us and pushing us to our full potential.
ReplyDeleteI can completely relate to this post! I look up quotes online every day. They help me express my feelings, motivate me, or even inspire me and help me reach my goals in life. I have so many favorite quotes, but my most favorite one is "Live as if you were to die tomorrow" by Ghandi. He's such an inspiring man, and a true role model!
